fuck, fuck, fuck, this absolutely sucks. I loved mitch hedberg he was my favorite comic by far. I feel let down, man what a shame. I hope he has some unrealesed material I can get my hands on. If anybody has some rare Hedberg please let me know. The whole world has lost one of it's greatest people, he was truly a fucking genius. Much love mitch, RIP

Whether or not Mitch died due to his drug use, it's not important. Guy openly said he wrote his material for stoners because that what we was, YEARS ago. He just kept his act, doesn't mean he was on drugs still.

"Hedberg joked often about drug abuse, but in a recent interview, he said he'd given up smoking marijuana several years ago. "For 10 years, it was amazing, but then I had to give it up because it didn't feel as good," he said. "The audience thinks I'm stoned all the time and I have to write my material that way ... so sometimes, when they come up to me after a show and ask me to join them, I just tell them I'm an undercover cop."
