Awesome! I calmly told them that I will not be consuming any Snickers / Mars / Masterfoods (Parent Company) products until they grow a backbone.

I for one am seriously disappointed that you caved into a little pressure. To remove your ad that you worked so hard on because someone was offended is the downfall of society. We always remove everything if even one person whines about it. Where does that leave us? You can't do anything without offending someone. All you have done is proven that you have no backbone and refuse to stand by your own product. I will not be eating a snickers anytime soon.

It was the only thing I could think of this early in the morning. Even so, I don't think it will make a difference as there aren't any captcha codes to stop the spammers from hitting their little feedback form. I doubt it will go through.

I received this e-mail from them this morning:

If anything, I think the commercial is making a point that homophobia is ridiculous. However, the problem is the videos of the NFL players commenting on the commercials is discriminatory towards homosexuals.

wow everyone's over-reacting so much!! that americablog thing ( which is written by one of teh gayz) actually made me laugh out ould.... the ads are so fuuny, and are rippin the piss out of homophobia! in one part of that page teh gay actually says:

The two guys accidentally kiss, they say to each other again "quick, do something manly," and one guy proceeds to pick up a huge oversized wrench and violently attack the other guy, while the second takes the first and throws him under the hood of the car, slamming it down on his head. Yes, the appropriate reaction to a guy kissing you is to beat the crap out of the guy who kissed you. Maybe Snickers should rename this ad "Matthew Shepard."

Let me get this straight, you're throwing a hissy-fit over a machine committing suicide? On top of the fact that it wasn't even a human, it was all a dream and you still want to sue. Maybe you should be like the machine in the commercial, just for the sake of all that is good (and there isn't much of that left) follow through and actually kill yourself.

Dude honestly, I was more shocked over the suicide one than I was the snickers one. I expected the machine to just look emolike over the edge of the building, then turn around or something. Of course I wasn't shocked to the point that I'm gonna bitch and moan because I had friends kill themselves in high school. If someone is gonna fucking off themselves they aren't going to do it because a TV commercial showing a mechanical piece of equipment did it (.. or dreamed about doing it in this case).

This blame game bullshit is getting SO FUCKING ANNOYING.
