No, not at all.
Personally after reading that I hope people get gored by bulls and the iPhone falls flat on it's face. Neither are probably going to happen but it is a wish.
And I'm slackin' on my sports news here, did Tavarez do something good or are you being sarcastic?

yourself: It would be a dream come true if the iPhone completely sucked and cost them tons of money. Tavarez just pitched a gem tonight and had a perfect game through 4 innings when I made the title of this post. Btw, why the hell did the Cubs trade Barrett? I know his defense left A LOT to be desired but with the way he's been playing offensively the past few years I think they could get more than the crap they did for him.

smurf: People can easily make a case that we are the first sellers of the year (just because we are the Cubs). However, I believe it has to do with more of the fact that he would be a free agent next year, his blunders on the base paths and poor defense negated his hitting for the most part, and he just couldn't fit in for one reason or another.
As for why we didn't get much return, well after getting in fights with A.J. Pierzynski, Carlos Zambrano, and then having a dispute with Rich Hill I don't think many teams wanted to take a chance with a possible nut-case calling the game.

yourself: Yeah, that's a good point. I didn't think he was gonna be a FA already. I missed the fight with Rich Hill but Zambrano is a hot head and A.J. is a world class douchebag so neither of those really shocked me much.

Yeah, it came a whole lot quicker than I expected.
Compound FA with the fact that they have a young catcher in the minors that they are really hyping up (I don't know if he is as good as some say) and you will find yourself on the trading block before you know it.

Well that was the other thing. I checked the depth chart for the Cubs and didn't really see too much in the way of young catchers. I figured that was why they got a catcher from SD in the trade.
